|  Este álbum es fruto del estudio de diversas manifestaciones musicales vigentes en el repertorio tradicional de Chile del siglo XIX y en algunos casos también el siglo XX y presentes en los espacios de encuentro y entretenimiento de aquella época como lo fueron Las Tertulias y Las Chinganas.
Las Tertulias se originaron inicialmente en Chile como “trucos” o “cafés” muy de moda en Lima en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, éstos eran underground playgrounds established in some public houses which are also called gatherings. Different were family gatherings which were held in the salons of high society of the nineteenth century Chile, where most of converging social activities where the main protagonists were the music and dance.
Among them are the family estudiantinas showing off with a very special style in singing and instrumental performance, but they were not only the heritage of aristocratic salons and also formed an important part of village task.
Villagers The Chinganas or rooms, places of entertainment were the most popular classes that were established in the open or in private places, where there was a ramada inn or in which they danced, sang, drank and ate.
These areas contributed to the flowering of a joyful life of the Chilean very own nineteenth century and much of the twentieth century.
It also mentions the Chingana as the "cradle of the cueca" and other creole rhythms that today are part of the traditional repertoire. |
